Good vs. Bad Composition

I think the top photo above is good composition.I believe this because the person in the picture is not in the way of the background.Another thing I think makes this picture good composition is the brown walkway in the background that makes lines.This image portrays a boy standing on a rock with a background of mountains and other things that make the picture have good composition.This picture is a nature like photo because it has nature in the background.

The image at the bottom is a example of bad composition.I think the picture is a example of bad composition because the boy is blocking the beautiful background.This image could have been better by moving the boy out of the way of the surroundings.

Using the same questions above, tell me why the image has BAD COMPOSITION? Why? What type of composition could have this image been part of? Better balance? Cropped to apply the rule of thirds? Zoomed out in order to show more of its surroundings? Think about how could it been better?
